Velma Ruth Mayfield
(August 5, 1923 – November 27, 2013)
Velma “Ruth” Mayfield, age 90, of Tuscumbia, died Wednesday, November 27, 2013. Her family will receive friends Friday, November 29, 2013 1-2 pm at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. A graveside service will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia with Randy Willingham officiating.
Mrs. Mayfield was a Colbert County native and a member of Westside Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Willingham, Patsy Howard (Billy), Delores Flanagan, Brenda Mayfield and Sandra Mayfield all of Tuscumbia, twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
