Velma Lucille Gutherie Barton, 90, of Double Springs entered into rest Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at his residence surround by her loving family.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 6-9pm at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Double Springs, were services will be held Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 2pm. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Greg Blanton will officiate.
Velma is survived by her son, Kieffer (Tammy) Gutherie; sisters, Ethoda Elliott, Dois Elliott, Helen McCombs, Aleen Williams, Janice Ennis, Sue Mills, Rudean Click; 5 grandchildren, Jason Gutherie, Chris Hartley, Derick Hartley, Allison Gutherie, Destinee Gutherie, several great grandchildren; also a host of other relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Mancle Gutherie; second husband, Homer Barton; daughter, Winona Hartley; grandson, Brian Hartley; and her parents, Hanna (Paul) Blanton.
