Velma Faye Maness – Obituary

Funeral services for Velma Faye Maness, age 62, are scheduled for 1 PM, Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Central Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Central Grove Baptist Cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Maness passed away early Monday in Jackson. She was born April 15, 1956 in Lexington to the late John Riley and Neva Jane Hays Maness. She was a homemaker and a member of Claybrook Church of God. She loved her grandchildren and going on vacation. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John Wayne and Thomas Maness and four sisters, Mary Ann Jowers, Arlene Maness, May Helen Maness, and Carmen Jane Maness. Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Jimmy Maness; two sons, Wayne Maness (Jessica) and Jessie Lee Maness; eight daughters, Brandy McDaniel-Hale (Antonio), Christie Maness, Marsha Maness, Samantha Burr, Jamie Carrington, Rebecca Carrington, Sarah Maness, and Mykaylee Maness; two brothers, Jerry Maness (Pat) and Willie Ray Maness (Sunny); sister, Mary Frances Moffitt; eleven grandchildren, Brayden, Carter, Meggan, Justin, Cassie, Emilee, Allen, Valerie, Jacob, Haley, and Carlee; eleven step grandchildren; and one great grandchild, Channa.
