Velma Eulice Cockrum, age 88, of Hackleburg, passed away Aug. 12, 2014, at Russellville Hospital. She was a homemaker and a caregiver. Visitation will be today at Hackleburg Community Church from 1-2 p.m. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., with burial to follow at Union Hill.
She is survived by daughter, Charlotte Walker; brother, LC Angin; and son, Steve (Kim) Cockrum; grandchildren, Brian (Shannon) Walker, David (Dallas) Walker, Charla (Cody) Watson, Jordan Cockrum, Tony Stephens, Angel Warwick, and Katie Stephens; and great-grandchildren, Jacob Edward, John Walker, Isabella Walker, Ava Walker, and David Allen Walker Jr. She was preceded in death by husband, John Cockrum, parents, Willie and Janie Anglin, son, Durwin Cockrum, daughter-in-law, Patti Cockrum, granddaughter, Crysta Engle, grandson, Christopher Walker, son-in-law, Don Walker, and brothers and sisters, Floyd Anglin, Vernon Anglin, Ernest Anglin, Mae Mitchell, Jay Lacey, Eunice Tyra, Shelvey Anglin, Elvy Anglin, O.V. Anglin, and Elsie Anglin.
