Veda McKay age 93 of Athens, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Brookshire Nursing Home in Huntsville. Mrs. McKay was born August 7, 1922 in Red River County, TX to Benjamin and Rosie Osburn.
Services will be Friday, November 27, 2015 2:00 p.m., at Sardis Springs Baptist Church with Tim Keenum officiating. Visitation will be Friday, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Bovina Cemetery in Bovina, TX. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home assisting the family.
Survived by one son, Larry McKay and wife, Frances of Athens; one daughter, Wanda Thurman and husband, Bill of Paint Rock, TX; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Blythe, Stanley Taylor, Byron Brazier, Rodney Wilson, Lawrence Holt and Billy Underwood.
