Veazey L. Jackson, 80, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday March 21, 2017. He was born July 2, 1936 to Leslie Herman Jackson and Claudie Luverne Veazey Jackson in Tallapoosa County.
A Celebration of Life service will be today, March 23, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with Richie Thompson, Steve Caudle, Eric Albright and John Kilpatrick officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include his son, Tim Jackson; granddaughter, Victoria Jackson; and sister, Edweina Kilpatrick. He is preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jean Jackson; his parents; sister, Luna Bell Hand and brother, Eddrell Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Bill Thigpen, Odean Hayes, Christian Higgins, Chris Lemley, Greg Wilson and Keith Pierce.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Trinity Baptist Church building fund, 1281 Old Hwy. 24, Trinity, AL 35673
