Ms. Vangela (Melonas) Sandlin, age 65, of Decatur, died Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at her residence. Her family will host a memorial service at a later date.
Ms. Sandlin was born August 24, 1953, in Auburn, to John V. Melonas and Lucille Malfas Melonas. She was a self-employed interior designer. Ms. Sandlin was preceded in death by her mother.
She is survived by two daughters, Ivy Sandlin of Decatur, and Madeline Sandlin of Huntsville; her father, John V. Melonas of Pell City; two brothers, Victor Melonas of Decatur, and Michael Melonas (Theresa) of Birmingham; one sister, Stephanie Culver (Bobby) of Hogansville, GA; and one grandchild, Audrey Marullo.
