Valley Head Woman Dies In Single-Vehicle Accident In Dekalb County

DEKALB COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident near Valley Head in Dekalb County has taken the life of one person and injured one other person:

“A single-vehicle crash at approximately 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, has claimed the life of a Valley Head woman.

Yuliana O. Meza, 35, was fatally injured when the 1988 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 in which she was a passenger traveled off the roadway and struck a tree. Meza was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet, Diego Gonzalez, 35, of Valley Head, was transported to DeKalb Regional Hospital for medical treatment.

The crash occurred on DeKalb County 1001, approximately five miles west of Valley Head, in DeKalb County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
