Valerie McCalpin Hayes, 55, passed away Friday, August 15, 2025 at North Alabama Medical Center. She was employed at Dollar General in Red Bay for several years.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 18, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Barry Holcomb officiating. Visitation will be Monday, 12-1 p.m. Burial will be in Dempsey Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her son, Cody Michael Green; her father, Bob McCalpin; her mother, Betty Carter; two brothers, Byron Keith McCalpin and Jay William McCalpin; nephew, Landon Noah McCalpin; aunts, Malinda Swain, Phyllis Johnson, Renae McElroy and Vivian Henson and one uncle, Roy Lockhart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald David Hayes.
