Valerie J. Vincent 45, peacefully passed away at her home in Huntsville, Alabama after a courageous fight against cervical cancer. Valerie Jean Kohler was born to Patricia and John Kohler of Florence, Alabama. She is survived by her husband, Marcus Vincent, and daughters, Mackenzie McGee and Morgan Vincent. She is also survived by brothers, David Kohler (Theresa), of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Daniel Kohler (Julie); niece, Hannah Kohler, of Madison; and nephews, Dylan Kohler, of Florence, and Trey Kohler, of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Valerie attended St. Joseph for her primary education and graduated high school from Bradshaw high school in 1990. After high school, she attended UNA and UA Tuscaloosa. Everyone that met or knew Valerie was met with a beautiful smile and a warm heart. Her strength was witnessed by all including those who tended to her care and treatment during the last year.

Instead of a funeral, there will be a gathering of friends and family at the Elks Lodge, 2550 Chisholm Rd., Florence, Alabama, Monday, Jan. 9, from 5-7 p.m.
