The bereaved family of Valeria Lomibao Licuanan will receive relatives and friends from 8:15- 9:15 AM on December 23, 2017 at the Laughlin Service Funeral Home, Bob Wallace Drive, Huntsville, Alabama. Funeral Service and Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on December 23, 2017 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Airport Road, Huntsville, Alabama.
Valeria was born in Turac, Pangasinan, Philippines. Ambrosio and Brigida Lomibao, her parents, blessed her wedding to Jose Sunga Licuanan on January 12, 1938. He preceded her in death after 26 years of marriage.
In the Philippines and in USA, family and friends sought her for prayerful intercessions because of her unwavering Catholic faith. She consistently sent greeting cards to all family members. She watched TV reality shows, read newspapers- magazines and enjoyed displaying her culinary skills.
She is survived by her 8 children, Bienvenido (Miriam), Jesus (Flora), Wilfredo (Minda), Caridad (Orlando), Florencio, Carmelita (Henry), Jose Jr (Marinella) & Grace; 20 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.
