Valcie “Val/Mama” Key Phillips, age 90, of Jasper, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at St.Vincent’s St. Clair Hospital.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, March 17, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Curry Cemetery. Jackie Key and Dane Davis will officiate.
Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her Father-Andrew Key; Mother-Nora Whisenhunt Key; Sisters-Etta Nolan, Dolly Allison, Jodie Estes, Lois Kimbrell, Pearl Jones and Altie Elmore; Brothers-O.L. (Ollie) Key, Tillman Key and Toomie Key; Grandparents-George W. Whisenhunt and Betty Knight.
She is survived by her Husband-Travis J. Phillips of Pell City; Daughter-Janet Monk of Marietta, GA; Son-Daniel Phillips of Pell City; 5 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.
