Ms. Uvone Venora Copeland, age 76, of Joppa, Alabama passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024 at her home. Uvone was born March 5, 1948 in Cullman County, AL daughter of Henry Clayton Farr and Audie Mae Parker Farr. She was the widow of the late Frank Hershel Copeland.
Uvone thought it was her duty to help others and was always striving to step up and do what needed to be done in order to contribute. She could have been one of the original “pickers,” as she surely enjoyed visiting yard sales and flea markets. She spent her leisure time watching game shows on TV. She especially enjoyed Wheel of Fortune.
Uvone is survived by her sons, Carl McCormick and Richard McCormick (Anna); brother, Louie Farr; sisters, Jeanette Swann, Mary Pate, and Ynema Phillips; ten grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren.
Preceding Uvone in death include her husband, Frank Copeland; parents, Henry and Audie Mae Farr; son, Bobby McCormick; daughter, JoAnn McCormick; brothers, Hugh Don Farr and Dennis Farr; and sister, Eula Pate.
The family has elected cremation with no services planned at this time.
