UPDATE: Body Of 14-Year-Old Has Been Recovered And Identified

The Colbert County coroner has identified the drowning victim as LaBronte Davis.

COLBERT COUNTY-Breaking:  Just after 8:00 pm Thursday evening rescue workers recovered the body of a 14-year-old boy who had been reported lost in the water at 3:30 on Thursday.  The body was recovered from Town Creek on Wilson Lake.

The body was recovered some six hours after the boy’s sister reported him missing in the lake.  The search for the boy was at Lakewood View Road where the Point Restaurant and Marina were once located.  The body was found in Town Creek which feeds into Wilson Lake.

The family was at the scene when the body was recovered. Names have not been released.
