FLORENCE – This weekend is Homecoming for the University of North Alabama, remembered by many as Florence State University. (It will always be Florence State to this writer). Saturday’s parade down Court Street was enormous! Lots of floats, lots of marchers; dogs; ghosts and ectoplasm; New Orleans-style beads… Even a couple of African Lions (not the football-player type). Come to mention it, there were Lion Football players on hand as well!
And The Quad-Cities Daily was on hand taking EVENT PHOTOS of the revelers. We present the here! They are nice and big so that you can make a print for yourself. A photo printer works nicely, or the file can be downloaded to a thumb-drive and printed at your nearby drugstore.
