FLORENCE– Mothers will often say they want something handmade for Mother’s Day, and now you can give them something handmade, just not by your hands!
Students in the University of North Alabama Ceramics program will host a Mother’s Day Ceramic Sale, April 30, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., and again May 1, from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
“There will be approximately 500 pieces for sale, with a variety of work available such as cups, mugs, planters, bowls, vases, teapots and plates,” said ceramics student Marissa Childers. “This is a great opportunity to support local artists within the community, while also finding that perfect gift!”
The sale will be located in front of Einstein Bros. Bagels in the GUC on campus. All proceeds go directly to the students and ceramics department to help fund conferences, workshops and invite visiting artists.
