University of North Alabama Alumnus and Famed Sculptor Fleming ‘62 Passes Away

FLORENCE– University of North Alabama Alumnus Frank Fleming ’62, passed away March 18, at the age of 77.

Fleming was a world-renown artist and sculptor, having created many pieces around Alabama and the University of North Alabama Campus.  Fleming is perhaps most well-known for creating the Storyteller Fountain in the heart of Birmingham’s Southside.

Fleming graduated from UNA in 1962 with a Bachelor of Science in Art.  In 1985, UNA awarded Fleming with Alumni of the Year award.
