FLORENCE – Members of the search committee tasked with hiring the new president at the University of North Alabama have released the names of the four finalists for the position.
The four candidates currently serve at institutions of higher education and will visit UNA for interviews Oct. 16 – 28. The four finalists and the dates they will be on campus are as follows:
Oct. 16 – 17, Kenneth D. Kitts. Kitts currently serves as the provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
Oct. 20 – 21, Randall W. Hanna. Hanna currently serves as the chancellor for the Florida College System.
Oct. 22 – 23, Sandra J. Jordan. Jordan currently serves as the chancellor for the University of South Carolina Aiken.
October 27 – 28, Robin C. Capehart. Capehart currently serves as the president of West Liberty University.
University of North Alabama Board of Trustees member and search committee member Joel Anderson said the candidates were selected from a large pool and are outstanding. “The committee working with Wheless Partners accepted 44 applications for the position and through a series of meetings conducted over recent weeks, selected eight candidates for formal interviews. The four finalists are now scheduled to visit our campus and we encourage our faculty, staff, students and members of our community to review the candidates’ resume and schedule of their visits now posted at una.edu”
