FLORENCE – Friday night alleged shoplifting and assault of a police officer gets a UNA football player a trip to jail. According to local media reports UNA Freshman Levi Fell, who is listed on the UNA Sports website as Stephen Fell, was stopped by an off-duty officer after he was allegedly observed shoplifting at a Mall retailer. A struggle ensued and it was reported that Fell struck the officer and made a run for it. Reports say that Fell was apprehended in the Mall parking lot by Florence Police officers who wrere responding to the incident.
Fell made a $7-thousand bond and was released from the Florence-Lauderdale Detention Center.
