Ulysses O. Hickman, Jr. the son of the late Ulysses, Sr. and Alice Hickman was born in Dover, Delaware on December 10, 1943. He leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Joyce; daughter, Yvette Nicole; and son, Ulysses III. Ulysses also leaves a half-sister, Charity Anne Hickman; step-sister, Angel Chism; step-brother, George; and a hose of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ulysses was lovingly called Lish. He was loved by all who knew him.

Ulysses attended Dover Delaware school system until high school. He later moved to Beverly, New Jersey and completed his education. There he met and fell in love with the Shafer family and married Joyce E. Shafer. He and Calvin C. Shafer, Jr. became best friends and joined the Air Force together.

Ulysses is gone now forever to be with the Lord. He answered the call and repented of all his sins and accepted Jesus Christ into his heart and believed God’s word and became saved. He was born again just like Jesus said and served him until his death. God Bless you our love, we will see you again and we will be together forever. Love you always!
