FLORENCE – The third annual Über Region Fest was an event to remember. This year’s festival was open to the public, and the turnout was the largest yet. Guests joined us from all around the Southeast (nine states represented: AL, MS, GA, TN, KY, NC, FL, OH, LA) and as far away as Australia. The festival included live music, local barbecue, private Porsche collection display, area vendors, the Alabama Music Hall of Fame and
Muscle Shoals Music Foundation, AutoCross open to all vehicle models, Special guest David Hood’s 1971 Porsche 911 “Schwartz,” and the Über Region Fest People’s Choice Car Show. Our goal with Über Region Fest is to share our passion for Porsche Cars in a laid back festival atmosphere, all while supporting a charitable cause. Each year the festival gets better and better with a larger turnout and more community involvement. We are hoping to keep growing the Fest and introducing more of our unique corner of Alabama.
PROCEEDS – Chief Ron Tyler, on behalf of the Florence Policeman’s Club, accepted the donations collected during the third annual Über Region Fest on Monday morning, April 25, 2016. Über Region Fest generated more than $2500 in cash donations over the weekend. TMT America, Trissl Sports Cars’ parent company, matched these cash donations. In addition to these funds, we delivered two checks from private donors made directly to the Florence Police Department during the festival. The result was more than $7,000 in donations collected during Über Region Fest to support the efforts of the Florence Police Department.
