has been selected as one of four national Helen Keller Fellowship recipients. Mosley,
who is studying visual impairments and deaf-blindness, is the fifth fellow to be selected from the School of Optometry since the program began. Mosley is a part of the fifth cohort of the Helen Keller Fellowship.
The program’s goal is to improve the quality and quantity of personnel who are credentialed to meet the needs of children with deaf-blindness and increase the future leadership in the field. Fellows complete their university’s graduate programs as well as participate in numerous enrichment activities provided by the Helen Keller Fellowship program.
Each fellow receives an $8,000 stipend for one year to assist with his or her education. Additionally, the program covers all travel costs and conferences, as well as a two-week, intensive internship with a state deaf-blind technical assistance program.
