Tynt Leonard Basden, age 88, of Tuscumbia, died Sunday, May 11, 2014. His family will receive friends, today, 6-8 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. His funeral service will be Wednesday, 1 p.m., at Cox Boulevard Church of Christ with Larry Kilpatrick and A. G. Stepp officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Mr. Basden was a member of Cox Boulevard Church of Christ and was the owner of Basden Bus and Yellow Cab Co. He loved his work and his family.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Kimbrough Basden; son, Rayford Basden and wife, Sachiko; daughters, Mona Melton and husband, Mike, Fran Young and husband, Kevin, and Rhonda McFarling and husband, Curtis; stepsons, Ronnie Kimbrough and life partner, Danny Christopher, Danny Kimbrough, Carol Kimbrough, Randy K. Kimbrough, and Regina Kimbrough; twelve grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Tory Melton, Ty Melton, Brett Basden, Barry Basden, Mike Melton, and Danny Christopher.
