Two-Vehicle accident Takes Life Of Hartselle Woman

HARTSELLE-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident that has taken the life of a Hartselle woman and sent another person to hospital with injuries:

“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:20 p.m. Thursday, August 13, has claimed the life of a Hartselle woman.

Joyce Ann Mason Johnson, 80, was fatally injured when the 2011 Chevrolet Malibu she was driving collided head-on with the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Savannah L. Kirkpatrick, 27, of Hartselle.

Johnson was pronounced deceased at the scene. Kirkpatrick was injured and transported by Air Evac to Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville for medical treatment.

The crash occurred on Alabama 36 near the 17 mile marker, approximately two miles west of Hartselle city limits, in Morgan County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
