LAWRENCE COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident that has taken the life of one person in Lawrence County, Alabama :
“A two-vehicle crash at approximately 7:19 p.m. Friday, July 2, has claimed the life of a Decatur woman.
Joy Elaine Williford, 61, was killed when the 2003 Toyota Avalon she was driving failed to yield the right of way to a stop sign and was struck by a 2018 Nissan Sentra being driven by Jasmine Nicole Arnold of Huntsville, Alabama.
Williford was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred at the intersection of Alabama 20 and Lawrence County 400, approximately half a mile from Hillsboro.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
