Two Suspects Arrested Charged With Theft Of Multiple Storages Units

FLORENCE-On January 19, 2026, the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office was notified that multiple storage units had been burglarized and property stolen at I-Self Storage at 4121 Florence Boulevard. During the course of the investigation, two suspects were developed and identified as Steven James Pickering, 39, Killen and Robert Dewayne Flippo, 57, Florence.

As the investigation continued it was discovered that more storage units had been burglarized in the Florence and Lawrenceburg, TN area. Several law enforcement agencies became involved in the investigation including the Florence Police Department, Lawrenceburg, TN Police Department, and Loretto, TN Police Department. Some of the property stolen included thirteen firearms, a Vortex scope and binoculars, RTIC coolers, electronics, Pokémon cards,

antique dolls, and other miscellaneous items.

Both suspects have now been charged with Theft of Property 2nd (13 cts), Theft of Property 3rd, Theft of Property 4th x (2 cts), and Burglary 3rd x (4 cts) and are currently in the Lauderdale County Detention Center with bonds of $257,000. More charges are expected to be added, as this case is still under investigation.
