Two People Die In Single-Vehicle Accident Near Scottsboro

SCOTTSBORO-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident that has taken the lives of two people On Sunday, Mach 24:

“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 12:20 p.m. Sunday, March 24, has claimed two lives.

The 17-year-old driver, of Dutton, was fatally injured when the 1984 Oldsmobile Delta 88 the teen was driving, left the roadway and struck a tree. A passenger of the Oldsmobile, Andrew S. Turner, 19, of Dutton, was also fatally injured in the crash. Turner nor the teen were using a seat belt at the time of the crash. Both were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Alabama 40 near the one mile marker, approximately one mile south of Scottsboro, in Jackson County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
