DOUBLE SPRINGS-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident has taken the lives of two persons:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 7:18 a.m. Saturday, April 20, has claimed two lives.
Refugio A. Sosa, 47, of Haleyville, was fatally injured when the 2001 Ford Mustang he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Luis E. DeLion Castro, 50, of Haleyville, who was a passenger in the Mustang, was also fatally injured. Sosa and DeLion Castro were both pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on U.S. 278 near Winston County 28, approximately five miles west of Double Springs, in Winston County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
