Two People Die From Injuries Received In Two-Vehicle Accident Near Moulton

MOULTON-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency report a two-vehicle accident near Moulton that has taken the lives of two people:

“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 9:45 a.m. Friday, January 3, has claimed the lives of two people.

The driver, Tammy W. Sawyer, 55, of Trinity and the passenger, Jimmie R. Bailey, 71, of Bremen, were fatally injured when the 2017 Toyota Corolla that they were in, was struck by a 2010 Dodge Dakota driven by Jeremy L. Eady, 47, of Double Springs. After the initial impact, the Toyota left the roadway and struck a utility pole. Sawyer and Bailey were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Alabama 157 near Alabama 36, approximately six miles south of Moulton, in Lawrence County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
