DECATUR-The Decatur Police were sent to a 911 call on Monday, December 22 to the Cowboys convenience store located on Old Moulton Road in Decatur. Here is how the Decatur Police describe the events leading up to the arrest of one man:
“SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:
On December 22, 2014 at 10:11 pm, Morgan County Central Dispatch received a call from the Cowboys convenience store located at 2614 Old Moulton Rd SW Decatur, AL 35603 that two individuals came into the store suffering from gunshot wounds.
Patrol Officers and Detectives with the Decatur Police Department were notified and responded to the scene. Officers located the two victims; 35 year old Ricky Dewayne Adams and 30 year old Tarius Dewayne Malone who were suffering from non life threatening gunshot wounds. Ricky was transported by ambulance to Decatur Morgan Parkway Campus where he was treated for his injuries.
Tarius was transported by ambulance to Decatur Morgan Hospital where he was treated for his injuries. Tarius was later transferred to Huntsville Hospital for observation.
Detectives learned that the shooting occurred at 1202 Brookline Ave SW Decatur, AL 35603. The offender fled the scene after the shooting. The offender, (27) year old Nadis Eugene Carlisle III “C.J.” was taken into custody this morning and charged with (2) counts of Assault in the Second Degree. He will be transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $5000.00 bond.
The victims are expected to make a full recovery.”
