Two Men Jailed Following Sunday Morning Chase

FLORENCE-Two men have bneen arrested after an early morning traffic pursuit on Sunday, January 11, 2015.  Here is how the Florence Police describe the event and arrest of the two men:

“Two Florence residents remain jailed this morning following a Sunday morning pursuit along Chisholm Road. Dustin R. White, 25, and Gary W. Green, 25, both of Florence were arrested after a short vehicle chase, followed by a foot pursuit. A Florence officer observed a white Camaro traveling at a high rate of speed early Sunday morning. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle leading to a chase. The driver of the vehicle crashed in the area of Chisholm Road and County Rd 312 and the occupants fled on foot. Assisted by the Lauderdale County Sheriffs Department, both suspects were located and apprehended. Green is charged with a variety of offenses including Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Attempting to Elude, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. White was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Attempting to Elude, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Following an investigation, White was additionally charged with two counts of Burglary 3rd. Both subjects are be held in the LCDC.
