Two Men From Moulton Die From Injuries Received In Two-Vehicle Accident Near Moulton

MOULTON-The Alaba,a Law Enforcement Agency reports a tw-vehicle accident near Moulton has taken the lives of two people and sent another person to hospital:

“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 10:40 a.m. Friday, August 22, has claimed two lives.

The driver, Timothy J. Early, 58, and the passenger, James I. Early, 63, both of Moulton, were fatally injured when the 1984 Toyota pick-up that they were in was struck by the 2005 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Michael C. Hitt, 35, of Courtland. After the initial impact, the Chevrolet left the roadway and struck a ditch. Neither Timothy J. Early nor James I. Early were using their seat belts at the time of crash and were pronounced deceased at the scene. Hitt was also injured and transported to Hellen Keller Hospital for treatment.

The crash occurred on Alabama 33 near Lawrence County 214, approximately three miles north of Moulton, in Lawrence County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
