what happened in the words of the Florence Police Department:
“Two Men Arrested Following Early Morning Pharmacy Burglary. Two Sheffield Men have been arrested following an alarm call at Florence Pharmacy (Veterans Dr) early this morning. Marquis D. McCray, 25, of Sheffield and Darnell L. Gilbert, 24, of Sheffield were arrested after patrol officers responded to an alarm shortly after 4:30 this morning. Officer Jason Fort, along with his K9 partner ‘Vox’, tracked the two men to a wooded area near the burglary scene where patrol officers took the two men into custody. In addition, pills, believed to have been stolen from the pharmacy, were recovered at the scene. Both men are being held in the Lauderdale County Detention Center.”
