COLBERT COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports two deaths from a two-vehicle crash on Saturday, April 29:
“A two-vehicle crash Saturday, April 29, has claimed two lives. Don Grissom Kimbrough, 63, of Tuscumbia, was killed when the 2015 Volkswagen he was driving collided with a 2003 Chevrolet driven by Philip Lee Pounders, 62, also of Tuscumbia.
Kimbrough, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Pounders was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Pounders’ wife, Fretricia Pounders, 62, was injured and also transported to a local hospital.
The crash occurred at 8:40 p.m. on Hawk Pride Mountain Road, five miles south of Tuscumbia.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.”
