Two Birmingham Men Arrested For Drug Trafficking In Morgan County

MORGAN COUNTY-The Morgan County sheriff’s Department released a statement concerning the arrest of two suspects from Birmingham.  The two men have been charged with drug trafficking:

“On Thursday, July 22, 2021, The Morgan County Sheriff’s Drug Enforcement Unit assisted the North Alabama HIDTA Drug Task Force (NADTF) in partnership with its Alabama Law Enforcement Agency members in the arrest of two narcotics traffickers from the Birmingham area. Huntsvile K-9 Rooster assisted in the recovery of three kilograms of methamphetamine.

The arrests took place in Priceville with assistance from the Sheriff’s Office, Decatur Police Department, and Priceville Police Department.

29-year-old Hector Ariel Lemus Guerra and 24-year-old Alejandro Venegas Mendoza were both charged with trafficking methamphetamine. They are both being held in the Morgan County Jail with a $500,000 bond.
