RUSSELLVILLE-The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office just released this statement regarding three burglary and theft investigations:
“Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Investigators and Deputies made two arrests on July 10, 2014 that closes three burglary and theft investigations. Steven Burfield was questioned regarding his involvement with a burglary and theft of multiple weapons that occurred on July 8, 2014 in the Burnout Community. Officers then obtained a search warrant for a residence on Zollie Barnes Road in Russellville and located Dedrick White, a convicted felon. The search produced various drugs that were seized, including marijuana and crack cocaine. Two Stihl weed eaters and 1 Stihl Chainsaw were also located at the residence. The weapons were hidden at another location that White then directed law enforcement to. Recovered were eleven long guns and 1 handgun that all were previously reported stolen.
Steven Ray Burfield, Jr., 27 of Red Bay, was arrested and charged with Theft of Property 1st, Theft of Property 2nd, 2 counts of Burglary 3rd , and Criminal Mischief.
Dedrick Eugene White, 35 of Russellville, was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property 2nd, Receiving Stolen Property 3rd, Possession of Marijuana 1st and 3 counts of Possession of Controlled Substance.”
