LACYS SPRING-Morgan County Sheriff Ana Franklin Released a statement regarding the arrest of two suspect on several drug charges. The arrests were
made after a routine traffic stop near Lacys Spring on Monday, August 15:
“Monday, August 15, 2016, A Morgan County Patrol Sgt. initiated a traffic stop in the vicinity of Hwy 231 in Laceys Spring (Gasoline Alley). Sgt. made contact with driver (w/m 43)- David Garrison and passenger (w/f 35)- Cindy Heck. Sgt. during traffic stop located what he believed to be “ICE” Methamphetamine and Marijuana.
Morgan County Drug Task Force Agent was advised and arrived on scene a short time later and field tested crystal substance that tested positive as Methamphetamine, weighing approximately 12 grams. Agent also seized approximately 3 grams of Marijuana including a cut straw and glass smoking pipe containing Methamphetamine residue.
Both subjects were arrested, charged with: Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance w/intent to Distribute, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bonds totaling: $5,600.00 for each subject.”
