Twila Frances Brown – Obituary

Twila Frances Brown, 71, died Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born June 18, 1943, in Gulfport, to Victor and Delores Holston Broom. She was a long time member of Trinity Baptist Church. She graduated from I.A.H.S., I.J.C., and Miss. State University. She taught high school English and Spanish for 38 1/2 years.

Services will be at 11 a. m. Friday, October 31, at Trinity Baptist Church with Bro. Joey Brown, Bro. Terry Lolley, Bro. Kevin Brown, and Bro. Matt Brown officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Larry Brown, whom she married August 30, 1964; her children, Kevin Brown (Debbie) of Mooreville, Larinda Brown Lolley (Terry) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Matthew Brown (Nikki) of Booneville, and Joey Brown (Mary Kate) of LaVergne, TN; her grandchildren, Glynn Brown, Morgan Lolley, Jordan Brown, Erin Lolley, Emily Brown, Nason Brown, Josiah Brown, Carpenter Brown, Timothy Brown, Kelly Brown, Sadie Brown, and Anna Kate Brown; her brother, Scotty Broom (Celia) of Medina, TN; and her sisters, Delores Lindsey (Randy) of Escondido, CA, and Vicki Surrette (John) of Pontotoc.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be Glynn Brown, Jordan Brown, Jerry Senter, Gerald Wallace, Ronald Roberts, and Rickie McMillen.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p. m. Thursday at Trinity Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mississippi Baptist Children’s Village or Gideons’ International.
