TVA To Temporarily Close Road Over Wilson Dam Due to Icy Conditions

FLORENCE – Traffic across Wilson Dam on South Cox Creek Parkway/North Wilson Dam Road near Florence, Ala., will close on Wednesday, December 21 due to icy conditions on the bridge during low temperatures. Weather permitting the road will reopen on December 27.
A complete closure is necessary to ensure the safety of motorists. TVA will monitor the weather and may extend the closure depending on the forecast.
Signage is placed on both sides of the bridge and the gates are closed.
