FLORENCE– Traffic across Wilson Dam on South Cox Creek Parkway/North Wilson Dam Road near Florence will be closed from Monday mornings to Thursday evenings for the next six weeks while crews perform maintenance on cranes used on the upstream side of the roadway.
The weekly closures will be from 7 a.m. CST on Mondays to 5 p.m. CST on Thursdays, beginning Monday, July 21, and ending Thursday, Aug. 28. A complete closure each day is necessary for the safety of motorists and repair crews.
In the event of bad weather, the work may be extended or rescheduled. Motorists should expect delays and may want to consider another route. Signs will be placed on both sides of the bridge and gates will be in place.
