GUNTERSVILLE, ̶ The Tennessee Valley Authority has issued a water traffic caution during transmission line work Thursday, September 25, across John Hollow slough on Guntersville Lake.
TVA transmission crews will be removing the Columbus City 46-kilovolt line. The work is scheduled to begin about 9 a.m. Central and will be completed by the end of the day.
All watercraft operators should take extra precaution during this time while traveling on John Hollow slough, a tributary of the Tennessee River. Boaters should also heed warnings from the four security boats that will be on patrol in the area.
The Tennessee Valley Authority is a corporate agency of the United States that provides electricity for business customers and local power distributors serving 9 million people in parts of seven southeastern states.
