Tuscumbia’s “Hot BBQ Cool Blues” Set for July 20

TUSCUMBIA-“Hot BBQ Cool Blues” will take place on Thursday, July 20, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Roundhouse of the Tuscumbia Railroad Depot, 204 West Fifth Street. Doors will open at 6:00. The always popular event will feature live music by the Max Russell Trio playing original, “homegrown” blues to entertain, while guests enjoy delicious Dick Howell’s Barbecue with all the fixings.   Tickets are $12.50  and should be purchased in advance at Fiddledee D!  Cut off for reservations is noon on Tuesday, July 18. The event is sponsored by the all-volunteer committee of (non-profit) Tuscumbia Retail Development. Proceeds go to promotions and efforts to advance retail growth in Tuscumbia.

According to May Woodie Christopher, president of TRD, tickets are on sale and selling fast.  “Hot BBQ Cool Blues” is always a great event,” Christopher said.  “We love it when our citizens come together for the good of our beautiful town!  This is a way to benefit the City, have fun with friends, enjoy some great music and have a delicious meal!  We invite our friends from across the Shoals to join us for Hot BBQ and Cool Blues.”
