Tuscumbia Police Arrest One Suspect Charged With Drug Trafficking

TUSCUMBIA-On Wednesday September 13, the Tuscumbia Police Department received a call of potential drug activity at a Hotel located on Highway 72 in Tuscumbia. While officers investigated the call they conducted a search of the vehicle that fit the description of what they were in. The subsequent search led officers and investigators to locate Methamphetamine and other drugs as well as drug paraphernalia.

Brittany Boone Moody, age 33 of Pickens Avenue in Florence was charged with Trafficking Illegal Drugs-Meth, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, 2nd and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Her bond has been set at $152,000.
This arrest was not related to drug arrest made earlier in the week at another Hotel in Tuscumbia. The Tuscumbia Police Department appreciates the tips and information from concerned citizens to help us keep drugs off of our streets and out of our community.
