Jeffrey Alan Albertson – Third Time’s the Charm

FLORENCE – Put this item in your “Bizarre News Stories” file. If Jeffrey Albertson were a yo-yo, then the Florence-Lauderdale Detention Center would be holding the string.

Here’s their report:

“Shoals Man Finds Himself Behind Bars For The 3rd Time In Less Than 30 Days; Jeffrey Allan Albertson, 48, of Tuscumbia was arrested by Florence Police last night after receiving a complaint of a theft in progress. Police responded to Regency Square Mall shortly before 7pm after a mall employee witnessed Albertson steal lawn equipment.

Witnesses were able to provide police with a description of the offender and vehicle at the time of the call. Florence Police Officer Lance Smith located the vehicle a short time later. After collecting evidence and speaking with witnesses it was determined that Albertson was the offender in the crime. Albertson was taken into custody without incident and the stolen property was recovered and returned to the business.

This marks the 3rd time in less than 30 days that Albertson has been arrested and accused of felony crimes. He was arrested on 09-26-13 and charged with Burglary after police responded to a burglary at the Dollar General on Huntsville Road.  Albertson was released from custody on 10-1-13 and charged again on 10-6-13 after police responded to a Burglary at Shan’s Convenience Store on Huntsville Road. He was later placed in Work Release. Albertson is currently being held in the LCDC pending additional charges.”
