Scotty Daryl Thompson – Indicted on rape charges. Allegedly conducted a 5 year long abuse.
COLBERT COUNTY – He is still in lockup. The indictment came down from the Colbert County Grand Jury on March 19.
Here is the text of Sheriff Ronnie May’s Office media release:
“Scotty Daryl Tompson, age 37, of 3755 Woodmont Dr, Tuscumbia has been charged with Rape 1st degree, Rape 2nd degree, Sexual Abuse 1st degree, Sexual Abuse 2nd degree, and Incest. Bond set at $500,000. Tompson is still in Colbert County Jail.
On 6-27-13 The CCSO got a report of sexual abuse from a 17 victim. The victim stated that she had been raped and sexually abused since the age of 12 by Scotty Daryl Thompson. The victim stated the offenses happened one to four times a month since the age of 12. The suspect forcibly held her down then raped her even after being told to stop. On 3-19-14 Thompson was arrested on Grand Jury indictments charging him with the offenses listed above.”
