TUSCUMBIA-Tuscumbia Mayor Kerry Underwood announced a proposal for a kayak launch located in Spring Park:“This is a project that we have been excited about for a long time. What you see here is a preliminary brain storm that was a donation of time and skill by Create Architects and Jill Andrews. As we continue to work on permitting from TVA, there will be many changes and adjustments made until we get to our final design for what will be a new active attraction for Tuscumbia. Most likely, we will need to construct in phases to control costs.
The visual natural appeal from the main area of Spring Park will be a driving factor, and I am appreciative of Jill and Create Architect’s efforts to work with us through this process. It’s time for Spring Park to grow into something more as we work in some of the ideas from DesignAlabama, Inc. as well.
