Tupelo Police Arrest Suspect Charged With Attempted Murder

TUPELO, MS-Attempted Murder, Shooting Into A Motor Vehicle, Shooting Into A Dwelling Arrest Made was made on 3-05-26, officers responded to Monarch Creek Apartments on Ida B. Wells Street in reference to an individual being shot. Officers arriving on scene located a victim with multiple gunshots wounds and immediately provided care to the victim until medical personnel arrived on scene.

The Tupelo Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division processed the crime scene, locating multiple vehicles and an apartment building that had been struck by gunfire.
On 3-12-26, after further investigation, Braylen D. Clark (20, Tupelo), who was already in custody on misdemeanor charges, was charged with one count of attempted murder, five counts of shooting into a motor vehicle, and one count of shooting into an occupied dwelling.
On 3-12-26, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir ordered Clark to be held without bond. These charges will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
