Tryce Adair (T.A.) Senter, 96, passed away Friday, December 30, 2016, at his home in Tupelo. He was born October 20, 1920 to the late Guy Senter and the late Lena Graham Senter. He was a member of Oak Ridge Christian Church. He briefly served in WWII with the Navy and was honorably discharged. He attended John Brown University in Arkansas where he met his first wife and together they raised 3 children until her passing. They moved to Tuscaloosa, AL where he graduated from the University of Alabama in Chemical Engineering. After graduation he went to work in Oak Ridge, TN and for other companies in Memphis before forming his own company in 1983, Halsen Products, in Belmont, MS. He met and married his second wife, Jeanette and moved to Tupelo.
Services will be 2:00 pm on Tuesday January 3, 2017 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Carr and Bro. Archie Taflinger officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 Monday, Jan. 2, 2017. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with assisting the arrangements.
Survivors include his Wife, Jeanette Senter of Tupelo; Sons: Steve (Lisa) Senter of Belmont and Dr. Mel (Cassandra) Senter of Memphis; Daughter, Judy (Michael) Gootzeit of Memphis, Step-son, Brian Barnes of Tupelo, Grandchildren: Mandy, Esther, Jesse, Leah, Emily, and Chris; Great-Grandchild, Gabriel; Sister, Tula (Jerry) Clayton.
Preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Florence Emily Senter, Sister, Imogene Senter, Brothers: Reese, E.G., and Joel Senter.
