Troyce Lee McCullar, 60 of Bremen entered into rest on October 7, 2013 at Brookwood Hospital.
He was born on July 14, 1953 in Winston County. He was a member of Ryan’s Creek Baptist Church for 12 years. He graduated from Winston County High School in the class of 1971 and was a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he received a State of Alabama Teacher’s Certificate. He was a special education teacher at Cold Springs Elementary and also taught at the Winston Technical School for a number of years. Mr. McCullar was a gentleman farmer for many years and was also a realtor. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed restoring antique automobiles, antique collectibles and loved anything about history.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 2-4:30pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where services will be held at 4:30. Brother Patrick Watson will officiate. Burial will be at Double Springs Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by his mother, Loyce Parker; brother, Jeff McCullar and his wife Teena; sister, Debbie Cummings; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Holman McCullar; father, Morris Lee McCullar, and son, McKenzy Lee McCullar.
