Troy Lee Bowers Troy Lee Bowers, 83, retired employee of Monsanto Chemical Company, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, April 11, 2020 at his residence on Carol Drive.

A private graveside service will be conducted Wednesday at Polk Memorial Gardens with Reverend Steve Swango and Jerry Williams officiating. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements.

Born July 4, 1936 in Maury County, he was the son of the late Herman H. Bowers and the late Lula Blanche Rosen Bowers. He was a 1954 graduate of Columbia Central High School. For 36 years, Mr. Bowers worked in the maintenance department at Monsanto Chemical Company. He enjoyed boating, skiing, and classic cars. Mr. Bowers was a member of Loyal Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, whom he married May 30, 1959, Nola Marie McFarland Bowers of Columbia; daughter, Lisa Bowers (Jerry) Williams of Fredericksburg, Virginia; sons, Gary Lee Bowers of Columbia; Keith Wendell (Shelly) Bowers of Columbia; Kurt Anthony (Nina) Bowers of Vancouver, Washington; grandchildren, Neil ( Sarah Jane) Williams; Kelsey Williams; Joshua Lee Bowers; Jessica May Bowers (Austin) Grzechowiak; Keifer B. Bowers; Shane Bowers; Ben Woods; great grandchildren, Addison Marie Grzechowiak; Carter Grzechowiak; Kamryn Houston; Kynzlee Grzechowiak; Jane Williams; Jay Williams; sisters-in-law, Barbara (Ralph) Jenkins of Nolensville; Florence Johnson of Florida; and his precious fur baby, Gracie Joy.

Pallbearers will be Keifer Bowers, Shane Bowers, Ben Woods, Josh Bowers, Neil Williams, Marty Leland, Austin Grzechowiak, and David Freeland.
